The Lou Grubb Friends Fore Golf tournament and dinner has raised nearly $5 million for Barrow Neurological Institute and St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center.
This event is an all-inclusive golf tournament starting the night before with a dinner and raffle and concluding with an awards dinner on Friday. It’s fun, prizes, food and golf – all for a great cause.
In 1986, Grubb underwent successful surgery at Barrow for a ruptured aneurysm. Several years later he made the hospital the LGFFG beneficiary. “The golf tournament is my way of paying them back,” said Grubb about the popular Valley event.
Grubb passed away in 2012 and this event now honors his memory. Learn more about Lou's life.
The 2014 event featured Casino Night, May 1, at the Scottsdale Plaza Resort and the tournament, May 2, at McCormick Ranch Golf Club.
Major sponsors included: The Grubb Family, Arizona Cardinals, Arizona Diamondbacks, CBIZ, Linda and Bill Hunt, Kathy and Dan Grubb, DPR, Kitchell, Sandra and Larry Mayhew, Shelby and Steve Butterfield and Symmetry Software.
