Superstition Paint Horses Open House

May 7, 2011
Gold Canyon Golf Course

Each spring, the friends and family of Cameron T. Haselhorst, a former patient of the Pediatric ICU at St. Joseph’s Children’s Health Center, sponsor the Superstition Paint Horses Open House in Queen Valley, which was held on April 3. The fundraiser includes children’s western events, carnival booths, bands, horseshoe tournament, poker tournament, lunch, volleyball challenge and more. The family also hosts an annual golf tournament as part of the event, which took place on May 1 at the Gold Canyon Golf Resort.

The charity event raises funds for St. Joseph’s as a thank-you for the care doctors and nurses gave to Cameron. The child weighed just over two pounds when he and his twin brothers, Tyler, were born at St. Joseph’s in 2002. Tyler did not survive. Cameron also received life-saving care at St. Joseph’s in 2005.

Cameron’s friends and family host the event to thank the staff of the Pediatric ICU for the life-saving care the child received and to raise funds for the unit.

For more information about the event, scheduled to take place April 23, 2011 for Ranch Fun Day at Superstition Paint Horse Ranch and May 7, 2011 for the Cameron T. Haselhorst Invitational Golf Tournament at Gold Canyon Golf Resort, call 520-463-2898.
