St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center
Hundreds of bikers, led by Santa himself, ride to St. Joseph's each year to deliver toys for hospitalized children. The Andrea's Closet Charity Toy Run includes breakfast, raffles, and an auction. When the bikers arrive at the hospital, hundreds of children get to pick a toy from a huge pile. The event is just one way Andrea's Closet brings toys to the many pediatric patients at St. Joseph's.
A toy may seem like a small a gift, but it can go a long way to help a sick child get through a painful medical procedure. That's why Andrea's Closet was created. When children face frightening medical treatments, such as procedures to treat cancer, leukemia or burns, Andrea's Closet brings them comfort and distraction from their pain by allowing them to choose a special gift from a toy-filled closet.
Andrea's Closet is part of many hospitals throughout Arizona, and more closets are being requested every day. If you'd like to help, there's a lot you can do.
