Vice President, Operations

Kristen Elnicky is the vice president of operations for St. Joseph’s Foundation and Barrow Neurological Foundation. In this role, Kristen directs all financial and database systems, as well as foundation grant-making processes. She also manages the daily operation of foundation offices and the foundations’ board of directors and board of trustees.

Kristen began her career as an administrative professional at Honeywell. There, she quickly proved that her area of expertise lay in operations management and successfully coordinated several department facilities moves within the aerospace and intellectual properties divisions of Honeywell.

After five years with Honeywell, she moved to Banner Health, where she oversaw the move of the materials management and accounts payables departments from Banner’s Phoenix headquarters to a new office and warehouse location in Chandler, Ariz.

While at Banner, Kristen discovered her passion for nonprofit operations management. She accepted a position as the operations coordinator for the Banner Health Foundation, where she was instrumental in creating and implementing processes and procedures for funds management, gift acceptance and recognition, and database administration.

Most recently, Kristen established and directed the operations of the TGen Foundation, including management of finance, budgeting, internal systems and business processes to integrate foundation objectives with the operations of the Translational Genomics Research Institute (TGen).

Kristen earned her bachelor’s degree at a small private college in Tempe, Ariz., and her MBA from Liberty University in Lynchburg, Va.
