Manager

Melissa Collins has been a development professional for more than a decade, joining St. Joseph’s Foundation and Barrow Neurological Foundation after a seven-year tenure at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Scottsdale. Prior to that, Melissa enjoyed a two-year stint in community relations with the Phoenix Coyotes Hockey Club and Coyotes Charities, which introduced her to the nonprofit world and ignited a passion for fundraising for the greater good.

Melissa graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in sports and entertainment management from the University of South Carolina and has worked for five professional sports teams, including the Phoenix Coyotes. In the five years that she has worked for the foundations, Melissa has spent a great deal of time managing corporate sponsorships, particularly relating to special event fundraisers. She is currently the major gifts officer for the Women’s Board of Barrow Neurological Foundation.

A native of Rhode Island, she travels back annually for a summer visit to see family and friends in the Ocean State, but proudly calls Phoenix home. Melissa married Christopher in the spring of 2013. Together they have a two-year-old son, Topher, and welcomed a new baby boy, Fitz, in December 2015.
