Many of the Sisters of Mercy who founded St. Joseph's (the Valley's first hospital!) in 1895 were nurses, and just like our nurses of today, the Sisters went above and beyond to provide the best care possible to all patients, regardless of race, religion, gender and socioeconomic status.

St. Joseph's nurses give willingly of their time to maximize their continuing education opportunities, but the costs to participate can be exorbitant.
